Google Analytics Real-Time Reporting

Google Analytics has been a great tool for a very long time at analyzing what has happened in the “past” on your website. But as the speed of the web is constantly getting faster it is not enough any more to know just what happened in the past alone. We need to know what is happening NOW on our websites. It is important to know the impact of your Internet marketing activities as it happens so you can react, correct, or clarify your message. And sometimes it is just downright cool and addictive to watch the ebb and flow of… Continue Reading Google Analytics Real-Time Reporting

CoFounder Interviewed on CBS Radio – WNEW, 99.1

Our CoFounder, Brian Raines, was interviewed today by Cheryl Simone of CBS DC (WNEW 99.1) by phone for a future radio spot regarding Southern Maryland Jobs on Facebook. In mid-November, 2012 Brian set up a Facebook page named Southern Maryland Jobs to help connect job seekers with employers throughout Southern Maryland.  In just over one month the page grew to over 500 LIKEs. If you are looking for a job start your post with SEEKING: and post it on the wall. I will repost these as status updates as time allows. If you are looking to hire an employee start your… Continue Reading CoFounder Interviewed on CBS Radio – WNEW, 99.1

Website Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) Analysis

There are any number of “website builder” software packages bundled with hosting plans from ISPs. But what does it really cost at the end of the day to build, deploy, manage and maintain one of these sites when compared to our Small Business Website package?  That is a question every smart business owner MUST ask themselves before embarking on a journey to become their own web developer, graphic designer and Internet marketing specialist. The official Google Maps app returned to Apple’s App store yesterday as a standalone app.  The new app is free and includes turn-by-turn navigation (something lacking in the last manifestation of Google Maps on the iOS platform), an integrated street view, an a 3-D like Google Earth view. WordPress 3.5 Launched Today

Wordpress launched the latest version of their CMS and blogging platform today.  This latest version is named “Elvin” in honor of drummer Elvin Jones. Don’t Forget to Protect Possibly Your Biggest Business Asset

In today’s Internet business economy many small business owners leave one of their most valuable business assets completely unprotected and in the hands of someone else.  I am talking about your domain name.
