Wordpress launched the latest version of their CMS and blogging platform today. This latest version is named “Elvin” in honor of drummer Elvin Jones.
There are a number of new feature upgrades but the most notable difference is a new image management system. The new media manager is “a completely re-imagined flow for uploading photos and creating galleries.”
In addition, the default theme, Twenty Twelve, is mobile responsive and some updates were made to the dashboard styles. Dashboard styles are now Retina-ready with beautiful high resolution graphics, a new color picker and some streamlining to some admin sections.
